I get a short notification on my phone saying someone visited. It contains only what any website can read without asking:

• the page, and the site that sent you here
• your time zone and language, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, light/dark mode and connection type
• a link tag, if the link you used had one (for example ?ref=linkedin-cv)
• an approximate city and organisation, looked up from your IP address on my own server
• when you leave: how long you stayed, how many pages you saw, how far you scrolled, and whether you opened the resume, GitHub, LinkedIn or mail links

Your IP address is used only for that momentary lookup and for rate limiting, and is never stored. The notification is not saved in any database; the notification service (ntfy) keeps messages for a short time only. Nothing here identifies you by name.

This site sets no cookies. While the tab is open it keeps a random id and the pages you viewed in your browser's session storage, so a page change isn't counted as a new visitor. It disappears when you close the tab.

Visits are also counted by Vercel Web Analytics: page views, country, device, browser, and referrer, in aggregate and without cookies.

The navbar and the music page show what I am listening to. To do that your browser connects to my music server, which can see your IP address like any website you open.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Hosting providers can keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, requests) as part of running a server.

To see whether the site works for people and whether it reaches the ones I sent it to. This is a legitimate interest; it is not used for advertising and is not shared or sold.
